Jem Cohen's feature length films include Counting, Museum Hours, Instrument, Chain, and Benjamin Smoke (with Pete Sillen). Shorts include Lost Book Found, Night Scene New York, and Little Flags. He also makes still photographs, installations, and shows of projections with live soundtracks including We Have an Anchor (2013 BAM Next Wave). Works are in collections including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney; broadcasts include PBS, Arte, and BBC. Cohen was extensively involved in overturning proposed street photography restrictions in New York City.
